Silk Silk Chanel Jacket

I have had this fabric in my stach for 10 years, waiting for the perfect project, and I am proud to report that this jacket-a-la-Chanel makes the honours to this wonderful bouclé tweed silk that I bought in Broadwick Silks, in the Soho in London. It was an sparse metre and not very wide, and I can' believe, even now, how I managed to squeeze a whole jacket our o it.

Of course, sleeves are 3/4, short, low-cut neck and everything is just truend and sewn, instead of using any facings.

I used the gorgeous silk lining to give it a good finish and small snaps instread of buttons to make a tiny button stand.

I used a BurdaStyle pattern, with under-arm princess seams and sidepanels joined at the side centre. The perfect pattern to save fabric, hahaha!!

The result, is just perfect. Difficult to combine, though. I only have this navy pants to wear it with. But it is a lovely piece and I will wear it and cherise it forever, I hope.

Stash under control and a jewel in my wardrobe.

Red Silk Blouse

I bougth this wonderful lipstick red silk in Guthrie and Ghanni shop in Birmingham.

I decided to make a BurdaStyle pattern from  August 2025th magazine. It is a gorgeous pattern that fits perfectly.

No modifications needed, I just had to make and addition to the sleeves because I bought the fabric in two pieces, as I changed my mind about what to do with it right there in the shop.

I construted the whole blouse with French seams, which are the perfect inconspicious finish.

I love it!
