Pinks Wool Shorts & Black Wool Short-Sleeved jacket

This pink wool (not sure if it's not a blend) was the last remnant my friend Ann'a mum gave to me. There was less than 1 metre, so shorts were the best option. I've become to love wool shorts in winter. I have the perfect pattern, and this the nth version of it.

I thought they'd look good with this beautiful pattern from BurdaStyle. It's a double-chested blazer with sculptured short sleeves, which are a curved extension of the fron piece. I did not make the asimetrical version, though. I simply made the more classical lapel side twice and doubled also the same matching back side.

I bought some cheap thin wool online and I was decieved that it was too thin, but then I interfaced it all with fusible and lined it with a pink satin cupro lining. The result is perfect! I can wear it in the summer, since it is short sleeved, and also in winter layered with a tight jersey top.

As I write this in June, I've worn the jacket in full summer with my slim smart pants and the outfit is impressive, formal, cool and comfortable, I really love it.

I plan to make the jacket again in a thicker wool I bought in London with matching shorts and I know it is gonna be awesome.
