Green Wool Hooded Coat

This gorgeous deep green fabric was another give by my friend's mother, Ana. There was 3 m of pure wool, so I decided to make a big, long, hooded coat to use it all.

I used an old pattern of mine, a hackering of a hacker of a trench coat from Aldrich's book

I wanted to add a hood to the double breasted bodice, so I bought a 5 € add on to a comercial coat pattern, and I adapted it to my bodice.

I had to make some major modification in the back base of the hood, but when finished and lined, it was all great.

I used a gorgeous green cupro lining, some brass button and a long beld of the same fabric.

Black & White Stripped Midi Woollen Dress

 Very proud about this one!

I got the inspiration from Saint & Sophia website. There was a short sleeved jersey dress in a stripped knit.

Then I saw this fabric in MeterMeter, I though it would be perfect. As usual, the fabric was lighter than expected. My tiny brain cannot help to project from the enlarged pictures rather than from the weight information, which I KNOW IS THE REAL THING!

I decided to use my modified Coco pattern, which was inspired many years ago by Tilly and the Buttons' Coco pattern, and drawn by by folloing Aldrich's book. And it is still perfect. I have several versions of it, and I chose the set-in sleeve, lengthen to midi, with round neck and fake buttons on the right shoulder.

I was positively surprised byt the fabric. It is lovely. Soft, thin and warm, not itchy at all and with great drape. It is just perfect.

Here with my new boots, looking great!
